Harriet Shannon is the programme lead for postgraduate cardiorespiratory physiotherapy education at University College London (UCL). She has been involved in postgraduate education for 20 years and her clinical interests include paediatrics and critical care. Harriet has served on the ACPRC committee as research champion and education champion prior to becoming Chair.


Harriet completed her doctoral studies in 2011, with research based at Great Ormond Street hospital for children (London). Her research focused on the delivery of emergency physiotherapy services to patients in paediatric intensive care. She has successfully supervised over 100 MSc research projects and currently supervises three PhD students. She is also heavily involved in the AHP research community through her role as chair of the London community for allied health professional research (CAHPR) regional hub.
