Non-Invasive Ventilation 

• NIV QI Toolkit - The Society, in response to the NCEPOD Inspiring Change report and new Quality Standards, has developed a QI Tool for Non-Invasive Ventilation which is available for download. You may find this useful when setting up a QI project aimed at improving NIV care. -

 European Respiratory Society Guideline on Long-term Home Non-Invasive Ventilation for Management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (2019)

• NCEPOD Acute Non-Invasive Ventilation: Inspiring Change (2017) -This NCEPOD report focuses on the quality of acute non-invasive ventilation clinical care, for patients aged 16 years or older who are admitted to hospital. The report takes a critical look at areas where the care of patients might have been improved. Remediable factors have also been identified in the clinical and the organisational care of these patients.
