Newsletter Editor

I’m the new Newsletter Editor. I identify as a gay male and my pronouns are he/him/his. I’m a big advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion within the respiratory physiotherapy profession and believe that we need a diverse workforce to treat a diverse patient population. I’m also part of the CSP LGBTQIA+ network. Clinically, I’m a respiratory physiotherapist with 15+ years of experience working in India, USA, New Zealand and UK. I graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (India) in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy and subsequently completed a Masters of Health Sciences in Physical therapy at the University of Indianapolis (USA) in 2011. I have been working in the UK since 2017 and have worked in both the private sector and the NHS. I have a special interest in tracheostomy weaning, rehabilitation after critical care illness, and NIV. In addition. I have recently completed my PG Certificate as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Critical Care from Brunel University London.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my husband working on DIY projects in our new home in Liverpool. I’m a massive tennis fan and enjoy playing recreationally. I also have 2 Weimaraners and 2 cats that keep me VERY busy.
