Owen is a Senior Clinical Academic Physiotherapist in Critical Care at the Oxford University Hospitals NHSFT. His research interests centre around the rehabilitation of patients throughout their recovery pathway following an admission to critical care. He holds an honorary research position at the Critical Care Research Group at the University of Oxford, and is currently undertaking a PhD in the Oxford Institute for Applied Health Research at Oxford Brookes University. He is an NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research Fellow, undertaking a multicentre study evaluating the musculoskeletal health state of ICU survivors (The MSK-ICU Study). He is also a co-applicant on a recently funded NIHR RfPB study investigating physical rehabilitation and nutrition delivery after critical illness (PHOENIX).
