Lunchtime Webinar- Developing and maintaining a successful respiratory On-call service
New Lunchtime webinar series throughout the year
Respiratory on-call physiotherapy remains a hot topic frequently raised to both the ACPRC and CSP, with common challenges including workforce capacity, staff training, maintaining competence, and defining the scope of on-call practice. In this interactive session, we will explore real-world examples of how a respiratory on-call service can be developed and sustained successfully. Both challenges and opportunities arising from on-call working will be outlined. Current work that is being undertaken within this area will be introduced, as well as highlight how the ACPRC is actively engaging with and supporting developments in on-call practice.
Speaker: Rudo Chimera is a Clinical Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist based at Kettering General Hospital, where she is responsible for delivery of services across acute care, critical care, and pulmonary rehabilitation. With nearly a decade of experience training on-call staff and managing the rota, Rudo also lectures in respiratory physiotherapy and is actively involved in research.
