Lunchtime Webinar: Frailty and its impact on the management of people with chronic respiratory disease
New Lunchtime Webinar series throughout the year.
In this session, we will define frailty and discuss the impact that it has on chronic respiratory disease. The existing literature will be briefly summarised and evaluated. We will discuss the potential role for respiratory physiotherapy in the context of frailty, particularly related to pulmonary rehabilitation and advance care planning. We will discuss some of the challenges of engagement and potential strategies to improve services for those living with frailty. This webinar would be most relevant to those with an interest in the management of people with long-term respiratory conditions, working either in acute care or the community. All are welcome.
Adam Lound is a specialist respiratory physiotherapist based in the Belfast Trust community respiratory service.
