BISMICS (British and Irish Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery)

BISMICS is a charitable organisation that promotes and protects the good health of patients requiring cardiac surgery through the portal of an annual meeting. The aim is to develop and foster interest in minimal-access cardiac surgery in the UK and Ireland. The established heart team meeting for clinicians provides a modern, innovative programme on techniques for treating coronary and structural heart disease. The two-day programme will consist of diverse topics led by an esteemed and international faculty that will cover:

  • Aortic Valve Disease
  • Live-in-a-Box Session
  • Enhanced Recovery and Imaging
  • Role of SCP in Minimally Invasive Surgery
  • Transcatheter Mitral Valve
  • Electrophysiology and Atrial Fibrillation
  • Minimally Invasive Coronary Artery Revascularisation
  • Complications

Returning by popular demand, the SCP parallel session will focus on endoscopic radial harvest and vein harvest. Join us as we discuss the challenges of implementation and share practical tips and tricks to optimise your approach.
