ACPRC awards 2025

ACPRC award 2025 guidance and nomination form

We know that our members work extremely hard to deliver high quality care to patients, teach the next generation of physiotherapists, contribute to the evidence-base and lead our profession. Much of this work goes unnoticed and deserves recognition.

We would like to celebrate individuals who have made a particularly impactful contribution to our speciality over the last two years. You can nominate yourself or a colleague for an award in one of the following categories.

Connecting people
Sharing Knowledge and Skills
Research and Best Practice
Leadership and Innovation
Newcomer of the year

All categories are open to any member of the ACPRC, apart from ‘newcomer of the year,’ which is open to those who have qualified in the last 3 years.

There is no limit to how many people one individual can nominate. Nominations will be anonymised (by name and place of work) and considered by an awards subgroup. This subgroup consists of 5 ACPRC committee members: ACPRC chair, EDI champion and three members of the committee.

  1. Anyone can nominate a colleague for an award, nominators do not have to be ACPRC members or physiotherapists. The nominator must know the nominee personally and be able to document their contribution to the specialty.
  1.  Only current, paid-up ACPRC members will be shortlisted for an award. This is because we wish to celebrate our 1800+ members.

  1.  Nominations will be assessed with consideration given to the context of the nominee’s career stage, role and working environment. Nominators are encouraged to consider colleagues at every stage of their career/AfC banding or equivalent.

  1. Assessments will be made with consideration for the following:

  1. Demonstrates one of the 4 categories in a way that goes beyond the expectations of the career stage or role.

  1. Undertakes tasks or activities that contribute to advancing the specialty of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy.

  1. Clear evidence of impact to patients, students, other physiotherapists and/or the wider cardiorespiratory community (this will vary depending on the role and career stage). Impact may be at an individual, local, national or international level.

This guidance is given in good faith: nominators are accountable for the accuracy and truthfulness of the information provided in the submission
